Test Strategy Sprint
A fixed-fee, two-week engagement that tells you exactly what to test, how, and in what order.
I've stood where you stand
Fifteen years in test and application management, most of it in safety-critical transport — ticketing, gates, the systems where a failed release is visible to paying customers in seconds. Danish enterprise testing runs on release trains, ISTQB vocabulary, and never quite enough time before the next departure.
Most SMEs I meet run business-critical applications with no dedicated owner. Releases slip, vendors go unanswered, incidents repeat, and customer feedback goes nowhere — not because nobody cares, but because nobody's job is to care.
What you get
- Current-state assessment — test approach, coverage, pipeline, risk hotspots
- A written, risk-based test strategy
- An automation roadmap prioritised by ROI, handable to any engineer
- An Application Ownership Audit: who owns uptime, releases, vendor escalations, and the customer-feedback loop
- 60-minute walkthrough + 30-day follow-up call
Based on 15+ years of regulated-software testing (DO-178C, ISO 29119/25010), ISTQB CTFL v4.0, RST.
Working proof, not promises
Recent work, measured: 89 bank lines caught up and reconciled to the øre — every line triaged, categorized, and journal-validated to zero balance before a single booking touched the system of record.
That is the method a Sprint runs on: triage first, propose with evidence, verify every number, then change the real system exactly once.
Scope and price
Fixed fee, agreed up front: €2,500 — launch price for the first two clients.
Two calendar weeks. One application, one system context — anything more is a second sprint.
Two more fixed-fee engagements
CI/CD & Automation Pipeline Audit — from €2,000. Where your build-and-test pipeline leaks time and confidence: a ranked fix list plus the automation candidates worth building first. Natural next step after a Sprint.
Regulated-Software Readiness Assessment — from €3,000. A gap analysis against ISO/IEC 25010 and ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119: exactly where your process would fail an audit or customer due-diligence, and what to fix first.
When you want this every month: a fractional Application Owner retainer (1–2 days/week) is the recurring version of the same thing — mention it when you write.
Who's behind it
I'm Paul. 15+ years of regulated-software testing (DO-178C, ISO 29119/25010), ISTQB CTFL v4.0, RST, Python/Robot Framework/Jenkins automation — currently applying it daily as an Application Manager spanning test management, product management, and customer support. The Sprint is how I package what that work taught me, for teams that need it once, done properly.
